This
is a kata originally performed at dynastical occasions
during the Ryukyu Dynasty age. In this kata all quarters
are saluted and this action is of very great significance.

Main emphasis of this kata is to co-ordination the stances,

turning in all directions assuming a cross-stance using

and contracting. The form is composed of defense techniques
which flow in a beautiful stream of movement. |

kata is designed as a strong defense. It has been handed

kata illustrates an attack-and-defense in the darkness
of night. This kata is named after a Tang warrior, Kusanku,
and variations of this kata exist in different districts. |

kata depicts a dragon climbing the mountain and the
sky. This kata symbolizes both a flying dragon (the
shape of a flying dragon in the sky) and that of a cloud
dragon climbing up into the sky. |

body which is always prepared and is not the least affected
